Mechatronics
is a multidisciplinary subject. Therefore, the number of tools needed to
master this subject is numerous. Neverthless, the use of such tools
is dependent on user's purpose. There are a lot of basic softwares,
simulation softwares which might be used for various purposes e.g. Matlab
and Simulink. Others are application specific. We will try to put here as
many tools as possible irrespective of the categories they fall.
Simulation Softwares
It is a general purpose
software. Description follows
The toolbox PLECS is a high-speed simulation
software for electrical and power electronic circuits under MATLAB/Simulink.
Maple is the leading
all purpose mathematics software
tool. Maple provides an advanced, high performance mathematical
computation engine with fully integrated numerics & symbolics, all
accessible from a WYSIWYG technical document environment. Live math is
expressed in its natural 2D typeset notation, linked to state-of-the-art
graphics and animations with full document editing and presentation
control.
dSPACE is a leading producer of engineering tools for
developing and testing mechatronic control systems. dSPACE systems are in
widespread use the automotive industry, and also employed in aerospace,
drives, and industrial automation.
SIMPACK is a multibody simulation for
developing and testing mechatronics systems. SIMPACK may be used to develop and
analyse almost any mechanical system.SIMPACK is being developed by INTEC
GmbH in Germany.
